The City of St. John's posts public advisories whenever we have an interruption in service to ensure the public is kept informed. Some of the categories of advisories include water, garbage, recreation, traffic and building closures. The view below lists advisories that are upcoming or currently on-going.

Due to a fire at the landfill, now contained, the Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility will have a delayed opening Tuesday, May 11 for both commercial users of the landfill and recycling facility, and residential users at the residential drop-off.
...Motorists are advised that Buchanan Street will be closed to facilitate the construction of the Jag Hotel expansion. There will be no access from Water Street for the duration of the project.
...Pedestrians are advised that the sidewalk on Water Street betwee Prince Street and Buchanan Street will be slosed to facilitate the construction of the Jag Hotel expansion. A pedestrian route has been established. Please follow the posted directional signs.
...Motorists are advised there will be lane reductions in place (westbound May 11 and eastbound May 12) to facilitate storm sewer diversion work of the Kenmount Road Trunk Storm Sewer Upgrading project. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site.
...Motorists are advised there will be several short duration and sporadic lane closures to facilitate some carry-over repair work of the Kenmount Road Trunk Storm Sewer Upgrading project. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site.
...Due to a mechanical malfunction, water levels at the Fountain Pond in Bowring Park are very low. The City is aware of the issue and expect water levels to improve over the coming days.
Motorists are advised there will be several short duration and sporadic lane closures to facilitate a number of exploratory digs for the upcoming 2021 Phase of the Kenmount Road Trunk Storm Sewer Upgrading. Signage will be in place and flag persons will be on site.

Please be adivsed that system maintenance is scheduled for the City's mobile app '311 St. John's' this evening, Thursday, April 29th from 9:30pm to about 1:00am Friday morning.

...Trails are closed at the boardwalk at Rennies River Trail (rear of Fieldian Grounds) and also the Boardwalk at Bidgood Park due to flooding in the area.
