REAL support from the United Way

Employees from Terrapure take part in United Ways Day of Caring by volunteering to clean up the REAL equipment room

The Recreation Experiences and Leisure (R.E.A.L.) Program is delighted to once again benefit from the United Way of Newfoundland and Labrador’s sixth annual Day of Caring. The Day of Caring initiative brings together more than 100 volunteers from various workplaces to assist with charitable organizations and projects for one massive day of volunteer work.

This year staff from Terrapure Environmental volunteered their time at the R.E.A.L. Program office, and spent the morning cleaning up the equipment room – an important task that goes beyond general upkeep. R.E.A.L. staff are deeply grateful and appreciative to Terrapure Environmental and the United Way of NL for the Day of Caring.

The R.E.A.L. Program matches organized recreational activities and leisure opportunities to children and youth, up to the age of 18, in financial need. The United Way of NL has been a Gold level Supporter of the R.E.A.L program for several years.
