Pinnacle Award Winners

City of St. John's marketing and communications staff accepting the Pinnacle Awards

The Marketing and Communications division of the Office of Strategy and Engagement have accepted two awards of merit from the NL chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC). The annual IABC NL Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in the field of communications.

A Communications Management award was granted for the Secure and Cover campaign that raised the general level of awareness of safety risks and legislation regarding traveling on roadways with unsecured loads, particularly when bringing waste to Robin Hood Bay Waste Management Facility.

A Communications Skills award was given for the City Guide publication which is produced quarterly and distributed to St. John's households by mail. The City Guide highlights programs and services offered by the City of St. John's on a seasonal basis.

Marketing and Communications division staff accepting the awards (left to right) are Communications and Public Relations Officers Kelly Maguire and Shelley Pardy, Manager of Marketing and Communications Susan Bonnell, and Marketing Associate Scott Courage.

For more than 20 years IABC NL has been the collective voice for communications professionals throughout the province and works to promote, enhance and develop the industry.
