Halloween Safety Tips

for Trick or Treaters:
- Do no go out alone. Get the neighbourhood kids together and go trick or treating as a group.
- Pranks are not funny, and vandalism is a crime.
- Make sure your costume and accessories are labelled flame resistant.
- Be visible; carry flashlights or glow sticks.
- Add reflective tape to costumes; it's an easy addition to a costume that helps drivers see you. 

for Homeowners:
- For the safety of all Trick or Treaters keep your house well lit, including side paths and driveways.
- Clear your yard and pathway of any obstacles or decorations that may be hard to see in the dark.
- Check decorative lights for broken or cracked sockets, frayed or bare wires.
- Use battery operated candles or glow sticks in jack-o-lanterns.

for Drivers:
- Be extra careful and watch for excited Trick or Treaters who may not be watching for you.

for Everyone:
- Report suspicious or criminal activities to the police.
