Craft it Up

  • We still have space in our fall Rug Hooking classes. First class begins September 21. This beginner/advanced class will work with vintage design-geometric, simple flowers, scrolls, hit and miss. The goal is to take the participant from novice to advanced skill in traditional Newfoundland Rug Hooking.
  • Learn how to patch quilt. Must bring sewing machine and essential sewing items such as a rotary cutter and string. Material list will be provided.
  • Our ever so popular art classes are available this fall at the H.G.R. Mews Community Centre. Instructor Lesley Janes makes these courses fun and easy to participate in, better yet all materials are provided. Classes starting in September in oil painting and acrylic painting.

Making Music
We still have spaces in our beginner keyboarding classes. You will learn how to play the keyboard (piano) and how to read music. Level 1 is for those with little or no experience. Classes are open Thursday mornings. Register today as classes are starting soon. Keyboard provided.

Seniors’ Specials

  • Our Seniors Social Time is a great way to socialize with others and participate in other leisure activities. Sign up today!
  • We still have spaces in our Active for Life program, and we’ve added a SECOND location! This one hour fall prevention fitness class focuses on balance and flexibility to decrease the risk of falls for older adults. Classes begin September 14.
