City staff have completed the data collection phase of the Winter Avenue traffic calming project. The no-entry restriction via Kings Bridge Road will remain in place at this time.

Throughout the city from Dec.1 to March 31 parking is prohibited 24 hours a day on streets designated as ‘No Parking Snow Route.’ Winter parking regulations vary, depending on where you live.

City Council has voted to approve the medium-sized bin (240 liters) for automated garbage collection. Full details on which areas will be included in the phase one will be announced in 2018.

Due to the Remembrance Day holiday on Saturday, Nov. 11, City offices will be closed in observance of the holiday on Monday. There is no waste collection on Monday, Nov. 13.

Preliminary work for a watermain rehabilitation project on Portugal Cove Rd, from New Cove Rd to First Ave, is scheduled to begin during the week of November 6. Traffic delays are expected.
