The City of St. John's is a vibrant place to live, work and play. The City is pleased to offer a wide variety of services to our residents. In this section of the website you will find everything from animal adoption to information on the water you drink to our wide variety of recreational opportunities.  When you think of a municipality some of the most common services that may come to mind include garbage collection, water and sewer services, or roads. But the City of St. John's offers much more than the basic municipal services, have a look and find out why St. John's is such a great place to live and raise a family.

On December 9, 2019, St. John’s City Council will announce its budget for the 2020 fiscal year which will include setting the mill rates and water tax for residential and commercial property owners.
The City is planning for the next phase of the Water Street infrastructure project, set to start in spring 2020. A drop-in information session is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20.
The City of St. John’s is recognizing National Housing Day starting with a proclamation signing on Monday, Nov. 18. There are several free, public events from Nov. 18 to 22.
