The City of St. John's is a vibrant place to live, work and play. The City is pleased to offer a wide variety of services to our residents. In this section of the website you will find everything from animal adoption to information on the water you drink to our wide variety of recreational opportunities.  When you think of a municipality some of the most common services that may come to mind include garbage collection, water and sewer services, or roads. But the City of St. John's offers much more than the basic municipal services, have a look and find out why St. John's is such a great place to live and raise a family.

On Monday, Jan. 27, all City facilities will open as scheduled and resume operations, including curbside waste collection.
Today, Mayor Danny Breen announced that the State of Emergency (SOE) is lifted as of 6 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. A 24-hour parking ban outside the designated downtown remains in place.
All businesses and other community organizations in St. John’s will be allowed to access their premises as of 6 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 for the purposes of preparing to reopen.
