The City of St. John’s invites residents and visitors to our Canada Day celebrations on July 1. These events are funded in part by the Government of Canada.

The Community Garden at the Paul Reynolds Community Centre has beds/plots available to interested community members.
Join us for a celebration of the incorporation of one of North America’s oldest cities. All St. John's Days events are free to attend and everyone is welcomed.

For National Health & Fitness Day we are encouraging outdoor active free play in particular as it promotes healthy lifestyles and social connections that support positive mental health.
Sister Elizabeth Rachel Lee (Betty Rae) receives the Senior of the Year award from Mayor Danny Breen.
The Senior of the Year for 2019 has been awarded to Sister Elizabeth Rachel Lee, known by friends and family as Betty Rae.
