St. John's Community Awareness Session
Non-Medical Cannabis and Youth: What Parents and Care Givers Need to Know

It's more important than ever for parents and caregivers to protect thier kids' health and development by having conversations about cannabis early and often. Cannabis is the most commonly used illegal drug by young people aged 15-24, with Canadians of all ages amoung the world's highest consumers of cannabis. This may lead to questions from your teen. Join Eastern Health staff to learn more about cannabis, the new legislation, how to talk to your youth as well as resources and services available.

The tween and teen years are a time for major changes, both phyiscally and emotionally. It is also a time when your teen may choose to use drugs, like cannabis. These sessions will equip parents with the information needed to have open and honest conversations with their teendagers.

Do you dance? Sing? Play in a band? Act? Maybe you do handstands while juggling water balloons with your feet!
Whatever your talent is, here's  your chance to show it off in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. Our annual youth talent show is for ages 10 to 14 and takes place in March.
