Program / Age Requirement Description Pre-Requisites
Junior Aquatic Club Preteen
Ages: 10 to 13
This is a new initiative to help preteens bridge the gap between our Canadian Red Cross Swimming lessons and Lifeguard certification. This program focuses on improving physical strength, endurance, strokes, rescue skills, first aid and CPR skills. Participants have fun while building team work, self confidennce and leadership skills. Junior Aquatic Club Teen
Ages: 14 to 16

Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard
Ages: 12+,
 
Our Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard course is the first step in the Red Cross Lifeguard training model.  This course introduces candidates to the basic knowledge and skills required to become a qualified lifeguard. Red Cross Lifeguard
Ages: 15+
 
Red Cross Lifeguard is the pinnacle of lifeguard training and certification in Canada. The course emphasizes hands-on practice in advanced aquatic rescue using simulated aquatic scenarios and classroom training. Our qualified instructors provide continuous evaluation and feedback throughout the course to help encourage each candidate’s success. Includes Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. Canadian Red Cross Assistant Lifeguard Program.

Red Cross Lifeguard Transfer / Recertification
Ages 16+
For participants who have previously completed the National Lifeguard program and require re-certification or transfer. Optional Standard First Aid. National Lifeguard (NLS) - current or not.

Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
Ages: 15+
 
Canadian Red Cross (CRC) Water Safety Instructors (WSI's) are the industry leaders in 'learn to swim' instruction for participants of all ages in Canada. This course is designed to teach participants how to effectively teach all levels of the CRC Swim program.  Through on-line assignments, classroom and pool sessions, students become nationally certified swimming instructors.  Students graduate with the training and certification to lead swimming lessons for preschoolers, kids, teens and adults alike. Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Recertification
Ages: 15+
For participants who have previously completed the requirements for WSI and require bi-annual re-certification. WSI Recertification Course is available seasonally.
