WOMEN PLAYING HAMLET - a comedy about Jessica, an actress cast to play Hamlet in New York, sending her into an existential tailspin.

It doesn't help that her acting coach is borderline abusive, or that every Starbucks barista with an MFA tells her she's too young for the role.

Or that she's somehow managed to make Sir Patrick Stewart her nemesis.

Not to mention the fact that she's a woman.

Nevertheless, she persisted...

Written by award-winning American playwright William Missouri Downs, WOMEN PLAYING HAMLET stars Claire Hewlett, Marie Jones, Sharon King-Campbell, and Janet McDonald with direction by Alix Reynolds.

Playing Feb 7-10 nightly at 7:30 p.m. plus a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday February 10. Ticket available by calling the Arts & Culture Centre box office at 729-3900 or online here.
