Architecture Lecture Series

Wednesday, October 11, 2017 - 7:00pm
Yellowbelly Brewery (upstairs), 288 Water Street

The Public Lecture Series is an annual event hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Architects  featuring national and international architects and urban designers.

The Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architects will be co- hosting the upcoming lecture on Wednesday, October 11 at YellowBelly in downtown St. John’s. The lecture will feature award-winning landscape architect Vincent Asselin of WAA in Montreal. The evening begins with an informal meet and greet at 7 p.m. before continuing with the lecture at 8 p.m.

The lecture is free and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

The Lecture Series was created, as a mandate of the Public Awareness Committee of the NLAA, with the intention of increasing the awareness of architecture and the built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador.  It has proven to be a well-received venue for design-based dialogue about cities, towns and outport communities across the province. Each lecturer is chosen based on their respective portfolios of work and research that is related to the current built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador. By sharing with us their ideas and experiences, the hope is that the Lecture Series can engage the public in a discussion about the future of our built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador.
