Motorists are advised that Springdale Street, from Water Street to George Street West, will be closed on Tuesday, April 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to facilitate the ongoing construction of the JAG Hotel. A traffic detour will be in place.

Due to a motor vehicle accident the intersection of Elizabeth Avenue at New Cove Road will be without power for the next 4 to 6 hours to allow replacement of the traffic control cabinet. Stop signs will be in place and motorists are advised to treat the intersection as a four-way stop.

A detour will be in place on Duckworth Street on April 9 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. between King’s Road and Holloway Street, to facilitate construction related to the Provincial Government’s National War Memorial refurbishment project.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times for businesses in the area and business owners are encouraged to speak to the project representatives on site with any concerns.
