REAL program staff accept a $500 donation from Coleman Group of Companies
A recent donation of $500 from the Coleman Group of Companies has supported five children and youth from low income families in their pursuit of recreation this summer.

The City’s parking meter supplier has advised that they are moving credit card processing to a more current cellular network. As a result the City’s current meters will no longer process credit cards.
Applications are open for the position of Poet Laureate of the City of St. John’s. The deadline to apply is 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21.
The governments of Canada and St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador are making infrastructure investments that will help create jobs, and support a high standard of living.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is reminding residents to be diligent when discarding smoking materials and would like to offer the following smoking safety tips.
The City is holding a bicycle rack design contest, open to the public, with cash prizes for the winning designs.
Rawlins Cross traffic circulation changes
During the coming weeks the City will be making minor changes at Rawlins Cross. This preparation work will not impact current traffic flow. The official date of changeover will be announced soon.
