Mini-roundabouts are similar to a general roundabout, except that they have a smaller diameter and a traversable island to accommodate larger vehicles such as buses and trucks. In case of space constraint, they may not have splitter islands on the approaches.
People driving are required to travel through the mini-roundabout in a counter-clockwise direction around the island. Depending on the location, stop signs at intersections retrofitted with the mini-roundabout may be replaced with yield signs.
