Winter Activity Centre

The Winter Activity Centre is located in the Pippy Park campground. The campground loops are transformed into groomed trails suitable for both classic cross-country and skate skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Trails are lit for evening use.

We offer classic cross-country skis and snowshoe equipment rentals at North Bank Lodge. Weather and snow conditions will affect operations. Please call the Snow Info Line during winter months at 709-737-3651 for the updated hours of operation based on trail conditions.

Rental hours of operation

The Winter Activity Centre is now closed for the 2024 season. 

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Equipment rental prices

• Individual person: $5 per hour
• Family of three people: $10 per hour
• Family of four to six people: $15 per hour

Payment is accepted by debit/credit only as the Winter Activity Centre is transitioning to cashless payments.

Drop-in ski lessons available

Learn the basics of classic cross-country skiing in a group lesson at the Winter Activity Centre in Pippy Park.

Lessons are first come, first serve and weather dependent. Please call the snow line at 709-737-3651, for information regarding the status of the lesson.
