Corporate Programs

Is your business looking for a fun team building day? We offer a variety of on land, snow or water activities available for groups from 10 to 60 people. We can plan a half or full day of surprises or work with your company to create a custom program that will meet your needs.

Individual and Family Courses

Looking to try a new exciting outdoor activity? Register for one of our individual or family courses. Summer day camp programs for various ages are also available. The following courses are offered seasonally. Go to RECconnect for more information and a complete list of programs currently being offered at this time.

Archery

Learn the basic skills of archery such as: target shooting, information on techniques, equipment and safety. All equipment is provided.

Canoeing

Learn the basic canoe strokes and techniques including: equipment selection, entering and exiting a canoe, pivots and turns. We provide all equipment.

Fire building

Fire building is an introductory course where you will learn the basics of how to use various methods of lighting a fire and different types of fire structures. We will also have some fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Geocaching

Join us for a beautiful hike in our Geocaching course. Along the way we will stop to find as many hidden treasures as possible. We provide all equipment.

Kayaking

Become acquainted with the exciting sport of kayaking. Learn the basic kayak strokes and techniques including: paddle grip, boat fit and adjustment, launching and landing. We provide all equipment.

Navigational skills

Learn how to navigate your way through the wilderness using a map and GPS and learn how to read nature's signposts. Communication, co-operation, trust, and confidence are skills that you will rediscover. Please bring along your own G.P.S. unit and manual if you have one.

Stand up paddleboard

Learn how to properly and safely get on, off and navigate your paddle board. All equipment is provided. Come prepared to be in the water.

Wilderness survival

Learn skills to help you survive in the wilderness such as navigation, trail blazing, signaling, shelter building, fire building, edible plants, and trip planning. We provide all equipment.

School and Community Programs

We offer basic instruction in a variety of outdoor pursuits through our highly trained and certified instructors. Our team will provide your group with the space and equipment to take part in any of the programs offered.

All activity options are seasonal and based on location. Our program space for the spring and fall is Rotary ‘Sunshine' Park. During the winter season, programs are held at North Bank Lodge in Pippy Park. Some of our activities are mobile and can be brought to your location.

Activity options include: archery, hut construction, fire building, orienteering, geocaching, slacklining, skiing, snowshoeing, paddle sports and much more! Programs are available during the daytime, evening or weekend. Our activities are suitable for all ages and abilities.

The cost for this program is $6 per participant.

Winter Activity Centre: ski and snowshoe rentals

The Winter Activity Centre is located in the Pippy Park campground. The campground loops are transformed into groomed trails suitable for both classic cross-country and skate skiing, as well as snowshoeing. Trails are lit for evening use. Please call the Snow Info Line during winter months at 709-737-3651 for the updated hours of operation based on trail conditions.
