Lost and Found Pets

Our goal is to match lost animals with their owners. This lost and found service is updated on a daily basis.

If you have lost or found an animal:

• Call Access St. John's at 311 or 709-754-CITY (2489)
• Email humaneservices@stjohns.ca with your lost pet's description, age, sex, color, location lost and current pictures

Humane Service Officers respond to calls about injured animals. When we collect an injured animal, we seek veterinary hospital medical attention immediately. Dead animals are picked up and descriptions kept on file to be matched with an owner if the animal is reported lost. Privately owned animals are the responsibility of the owner. 

Humane services only respond to stray animals within the city limits. If the animal is outside of the city please contact the proper municipality.
